Easy Thursday

Image
William didn't want to get in the car this morning to take the kids to school...so he stood at the top of the stairs and pretended to be asleep while standing up. We made freshly squeezed orange juice this morning with our citrus juicer.  Delicious! Mason drew this picture while watching Art Hub.  He LOVES Art Hub.  It's a YouTube channel that teaches kids how to draw with very easy and specific steps. After bath photo opp in the bathroom, ha ha. While reading scriptures before bed, I noticed that Bryce's head looked bigger than Lizzie's.  I think I may be correct!

First Basketball Practice Ever for Mason

This first picture is of Lizzie at Mutual last night.  They met at a gym and did an hour and a half of Zumba dancing.  The instructor was the guy in the middle with the red shirt and dreadlocks.  He's a great teacher!  Lizzie had a lot of fun and is really enjoying mutual! I had to take this picture of William with Lizzie's pink blanket.  He woke up this morning and wanted to cuddle with milk but he is SO stubborn and has to have everything "just right" before he will drink his milk.  I have to be in a position that he approves of.  And he HAS to have a blanket!  He was having a fit so I quickly grabbed one of Lizzie's blankets from her bedroom since all of William's blankets were upstairs.  I have created a monster... I had to take this picture.  I was showing William a book about Knights.  He saw that picture and got really excited and exclaimed, "The Armor of God!" repeatedly.  This tells me that he has watch...

Wonder Woman

Another busy day in the books! I came across a few quotes today that I just have to put in this journal. 1.  "My kids wanted to know what it was like being a Mom...so I woke them up at 2:00 in the morning just to tell them that my sock fell off."  Love it! 2.  "I asked my friend what I could do to best prepare for motherhood...she told me to talk to a bunch of rocks, as my kids would have similar listening abilities."  Ha ha!!! The kids played dress up this morning.  William had to be Batman, as usual. Caitlyn was Cookie Monster Girl today. I had to fold the laundry, again.  Yay! We watched our little friend, Miah, for an hour or so while her Mommy went to the gym.  William and Miah are in the same nursery class and get along great! A few weeks ago, Jon randomly surprised William with a Batman doll.  It came in the mail one day, out of the blue.  Needless to say, Caitlyn did not take this well. I tol...

Busy, Busy Monday

Caitlyn had a play date arranged for 10:00 this morning.  Before her friend could come over, however, we had a lot of things to do first! I went to the gym (I ran 5 miles), come home and showered, got everyone else up and ready for school, dropped off the boys, dropped off Lizzie, came home and cleaned the kitchen, started the laundry, worked on some miscellaneous chores, and cleaned three bathrooms. THEN it was time for her friend, Sadie, to come over.  These two girls have been friends their entire lives.  Sadie was born on June 9th, 2014 and Caitlyn was born 6 days later on June 15th, 2014.  I hope that they will be able to grow up together!  Sadie is a very tall 4-year-old...but, believe me, she is very much a 4-year-old developmentally.  Her and Caitlyn have very similar interests.  They both especially love playing dress-up princesses! I gave Lizzie $15 to take to school and give to one of her friends, Chloe, who is selling girl s...

All about William

Image
Today was a typical Sunday. I didn't take many pictures at all though. William began the day by walking around for an hour or so with this blanket over his head.  Silly William. By the end of the day, William was so exhausted.  He almost fell asleep right before dinner and we tried to keep him awake.  We put him at the table to eat dinner and he wasn't having it.  He did eventually wake up and get a second wind that lasted until bedtime. We went to church today, as usual.  We also went to the sacrament meeting of the Spanish Branch.  Jon has been attending the Spanish Branch because he is over the branch as a member of the high council.  He goes to their ward council and he plays the organ in their sacrament meeting.  We have been toying with the idea of transferring our records to the Spanish branch.  Currently, the Spanish branch primary and Young Women/Young Men are combined with our ward.  So if we tran...

IKEA and the L.A. Zoo

Image
Another good Saturday in the books. I went on a 12 mile run with Angie at 5:00 a.m. this morning.  I was feeling it.  At mile 11 I developed a nasty cramp in my quad.  I had to gimp the last mile of the run.  I don't know if I'll make it to the half marathon! We went to IKEA (in Burbank) for a quick lunch before heading to the L.A. Zoo.  IKEA is cheap food!  We got a season pass to the Zoo for Christmas.  We have already been to the Zoo 3 times. Here we are at IKEA: Mr. Batman! Here we are at the Zoo: The Zoo was PACKED today!  We wasted nearly 30 minutes driving around searching for an available parking spot.  However, regardless of the crowds, we had a great time.
