IKEA and the L.A. Zoo

Another good Saturday in the books.

I went on a 12 mile run with Angie at 5:00 a.m. this morning.  I was feeling it.  At mile 11 I developed a nasty cramp in my quad.  I had to gimp the last mile of the run.  I don't know if I'll make it to the half marathon!

We went to IKEA (in Burbank) for a quick lunch before heading to the L.A. Zoo.  IKEA is cheap food!  We got a season pass to the Zoo for Christmas.  We have already been to the Zoo 3 times.

The Zoo was PACKED today!  We wasted nearly 30 minutes driving around searching for an available parking spot.  However, regardless of the crowds, we had a great time.

 2021...What a year! Some Highlights: I read the Book of Mormon 4 times this year (one time I finished in 29 days!) We studied the Doctrine and Covenants for Come follow Me! Lizzie Started Highschool (and seminary)! William started Kindergarten! I got depressed being home without the kids...so I got my first job in 14 years! I was called to be the ward Young Women President in January. Jon is still serving in the Bishopric, this year as the 2nd Counselor. Bryce was ordained to the office of a Deacon and serves as the Deacon Quorum President. Jon broke his foot in March and had to have surgery. Our fruit trees produced no fruit this year, which was sad. Lizzie was extremely sick for about 2 months.  She had ovarian cysts, major constipation, and valley fever! We had the opportunity to listen to two General Conferences, which are my favorite holiday's. Another Lag in Posting

 I apologize for not writing very often.  I have just had a few really bad days this week.  Emotionally unstable days where I could barely make myself do the bare minimum.  Updating the blog wasn't number one on my priority list.  I'm feeling much better now, but I just can't properly document the past week.  Sorry! The days where I experience mental health challenges really get to me.  I feel like I'm in a dark place and trapped in my own mind, drowning in negativity, self-doubt, and self-loathing.  It's extremely powerful.  Thankfully, it is not like that every day of my life, as it is with those who suffer from severe depression.  I can't imagine not being able to snap out of it.  My "bad days" correlate very closely to my time of the month.  For about a week out of every month I feel very poorly, emotionally.  It's a hormonal imbalance that I feel is worse than most women.  At least I am unaware of any women who s...
