All about William
Today was a typical Sunday.
I didn't take many pictures at all though.
William began the day by walking around for an hour or so with this blanket over his head. Silly William.
By the end of the day, William was so exhausted. He almost fell asleep right before dinner and we tried to keep him awake. We put him at the table to eat dinner and he wasn't having it. He did eventually wake up and get a second wind that lasted until bedtime.
We went to church today, as usual. We also went to the sacrament meeting of the Spanish Branch. Jon has been attending the Spanish Branch because he is over the branch as a member of the high council. He goes to their ward council and he plays the organ in their sacrament meeting. We have been toying with the idea of transferring our records to the Spanish branch. Currently, the Spanish branch primary and Young Women/Young Men are combined with our ward. So if we transferred our records, the kids would still be attending the same primary and young women's. I would really like to learn Spanish. I took three years in high school and a semester at the local college here before Lizzie was born...11.5 years ago. We will pray about this decision and see what the Lord would have us do.
As part of my calling, I get to create and send out weekly reminders about what we are supposed to be studying in Come, Follow Me for the week. It is really fun to create new reminders each week.
Here is this week's reminder:
We had our first lesson this afternoon. We usually take 3-4 days to study the lesson together as a family. We discussed baptism. Bryce is really good at remembering our Baptismal Covenants. He remembers the "kit kat" analogy that we discussed with him before he was baptized. It makes it so easy to remember our baptismal covenants.
K - Keep the Commandments
A - Always Remember Him
T - Take His Name Upon You
We also discussed the Holy Ghost and did a few object lessons regarding the Holy Ghost and how he can help us in our lives.
I made Salisbury steaks, mashed potatoes, and veggies for dinner.
I didn't have time to make a dessert, which the kids were sad about. But nothing that a few chocolate chips from the pantry couldn't solve.
I will make our weekly special dessert tomorrow. Mason requested homemade ice-cream sandwiches. I'll have to see what I end up accomplishing tomorrow and if I have time to make those.
