Busy, Busy Monday

Caitlyn had a play date arranged for 10:00 this morning.  Before her friend could come over, however, we had a lot of things to do first!

I went to the gym (I ran 5 miles), come home and showered, got everyone else up and ready for school, dropped off the boys, dropped off Lizzie, came home and cleaned the kitchen, started the laundry, worked on some miscellaneous chores, and cleaned three bathrooms.

THEN it was time for her friend, Sadie, to come over.  These two girls have been friends their entire lives.  Sadie was born on June 9th, 2014 and Caitlyn was born 6 days later on June 15th, 2014.  I hope that they will be able to grow up together!  Sadie is a very tall 4-year-old...but, believe me, she is very much a 4-year-old developmentally.  Her and Caitlyn have very similar interests.  They both especially love playing dress-up princesses!

I gave Lizzie $15 to take to school and give to one of her friends, Chloe, who is selling girl scout cookies.  Chloe is one of the girls in Lizzie's Young Women's class.  She also has a few school classes with her.

Anyway, I instructed Lizzie to pay Chloe the money and to take the cookies home.  I didn't want her to open up the cookies at school.

I should have known better.  I should have known that an 11-year-old in possession of three boxes of delectable girl scout cookies that she wasn't supposed to open was too much of a temptation.

Lizzie texted me before I picked her up.  She apologized and felt really bad...but she couldn't help herself and she opened up ALL THREE of the cookie boxes at school!  And then she shared with her friends.  She really was sorry and apologized again and again.

It's fine...I put her in a bad situation.  At least she was happy and enjoyed the cookies!

The boys had piano lessons right after school.  Caitlyn went in as well to play with the piano teachers little sister who is the same age as Caitlyn.

What do you know...William fell asleep in the car...again.

I don't think I fully realized how often William fell asleep in the car until I started keeping this blog!

After piano lessons, we rushed home and did homework and ate a quick dinner (scrambled eggs with ham and pancakes).  Then the older three had judo lessons at the YMCA.  I took all of the kids since Jon is still working at the college most nights for the rest of this week.  He will finally get a break at the end of this week.

After Judo, the kids got to eat the homemade ice cream sandwiches that I told them I would make.

It was a good day...but I am so exhausted!
