First Basketball Practice Ever for Mason

This first picture is of Lizzie at Mutual last night.  They met at a gym and did an hour and a half of Zumba dancing.  The instructor was the guy in the middle with the red shirt and dreadlocks.  He's a great teacher!  Lizzie had a lot of fun and is really enjoying mutual!


I had to take this picture of William with Lizzie's pink blanket.  He woke up this morning and wanted to cuddle with milk but he is SO stubborn and has to have everything "just right" before he will drink his milk.  I have to be in a position that he approves of.  And he HAS to have a blanket!  He was having a fit so I quickly grabbed one of Lizzie's blankets from her bedroom since all of William's blankets were upstairs.  I have created a monster...


I had to take this picture.  I was showing William a book about Knights.  He saw that picture and got really excited and exclaimed, "The Armor of God!" repeatedly.  This tells me that he has watched the old "Armor of God" seminary video too many times, ha ha.  The kids love those old seminary videos.


Our little friend, Miah, came over to play again today.


Caitlyn had preschool today at Chris's house.  She had a lot of fun, as usual.  These are such a great group of 4-year-olds.




While Caitlyn was in Preschool, William and I read books about Dinosaurs.



We also made whole grain peanut butter, honey, and banana muffins.  Some oil leaked off of the muffin tin and the over started smoking.  You can't see the smoke coming out...but there was quite a lot of it.  The house still stinks!


What a surprise...William fell asleep in the car while we were picking up Caitlyn from Preschool. 


The kids had Judo today at 5:30.  So we ate an early dinner (BLT's).

Then Mason had his first basketball practice ever!  Their practices are SO late for 1st-graders...7:30 at night!  But he survived somehow.  I didn't get a picture of him before practice...but I was able to snag a picture of him after practice while he was in the middle of trying on his new uniform.  He didn't want his picture taken...I'll take one at Saturday's game!



This is so adorable.  Lizzie wrote this for Mason to find when he got home from practice.  She is such a good big sister.

 2021...What a year! Some Highlights: I read the Book of Mormon 4 times this year (one time I finished in 29 days!) We studied the Doctrine and Covenants for Come follow Me! Lizzie Started Highschool (and seminary)! William started Kindergarten! I got depressed being home without the kids...so I got my first job in 14 years! I was called to be the ward Young Women President in January. Jon is still serving in the Bishopric, this year as the 2nd Counselor. Bryce was ordained to the office of a Deacon and serves as the Deacon Quorum President. Jon broke his foot in March and had to have surgery. Our fruit trees produced no fruit this year, which was sad. Lizzie was extremely sick for about 2 months.  She had ovarian cysts, major constipation, and valley fever! Another Lag in Posting

 I apologize for not writing very often.  I have just had a few really bad days this week.  Emotionally unstable days where I could barely make myself do the bare minimum.  Updating the blog wasn't number one on my priority list.  I'm feeling much better now, but I just can't properly document the past week.  Sorry! The days where I experience mental health challenges really get to me.  I feel like I'm in a dark place and trapped in my own mind, drowning in negativity, self-doubt, and self-loathing.  It's extremely powerful.  Thankfully, it is not like that every day of my life, as it is with those who suffer from severe depression.  I can't imagine not being able to snap out of it.  My "bad days" correlate very closely to my time of the month.  For about a week out of every month I feel very poorly, emotionally.  It's a hormonal imbalance that I feel is worse than most women.  At least I am unaware of any women who s...
