Daily Reflections

I don't know how it happened, but I haven't posted since Saturday!  It's Wednesday! Actually, I do know what happened.  We have been going crazy cleaning and packing! We still have so many things to pack up, but we had to get the house ready for pictures and for showings.  We had a photographer come this morning and our house should be on the market by Friday.  We are having an open house on Sunday (our realtor will deal with it while we are at church).  We will be offering on our dream house within the next few days as well.  It's all happening so fast.  To be honest, I am so excited for that house...but I'm beyond sad that we will have to leave our ward.  It breaks my heart. Let's play a little catch-up! On Sunday, we went over to the Nelson's for dinner.  It was seriously so much fun and I'm going to miss them more than I can say.  They will be moving back to Utah within a year or so.  I'll be so ...

Mason had game #2 today!  He was a completely different player than he was last weekend.  Jon took him to the church gym a few times this week and I think that was all that he needed to boost his confidence a bit.  He didn't run away from the ball today!  He advanced towards it like he actually wanted it!  He was able to dribble and shoot the ball.  He didn't make any baskets but he sure did try! William is just too adorable!  He was doing so well with potty training until this afternoon hit.  Then he had 3 accidents in a row.  Overall, however, I think that today was an improvement from yesterday as far as potty training is concerned. Amanda and Craig (who live in Montana) are experiencing severe winter weather at the moment.  Wind chill 70 below zero!  Yikes!  I really am grateful for the weather that we have here in California.  Yes, it is unbearably hot in the summer...but I'd say at ...

I can't forget to post these adorable pictures from the other night when Jon took the girls out on a date! So adorable. I had to add these next pictures to show how cuddly William is.  He snuggles all of the time and I just love his hugs so much! William put his underwear on all by himself.  He was so proud of himself, even when he put both legs through the same hole! Clearly, I think it's about time for me to get rid of this calendar.  If I haven't found the time to change the date since August 20th...than it's pointless! William was being a little stubborn with his potty training.  He had 3 accidents.  But he peed 3 times and pooped 2 times in the potty!  One of the things that I did to get him on to sit on the potty was to pretend that the Dinosaurs really wanted to see him go potty.  Whatever works!    I spent the entire day decluttering...here is the Goodwill pile now!  Yikes!...

Jon took today and tomorrow off from work.  While he was working on decluttering the garage, among other errands...I started decluttering the house.  I only made it through Lizzie's room, the shoe closet, the kitchen, the loft, and William's room.  I will continue to add to this Goodwill pile tomorrow when I finish the rest of the rooms.  Those two garbage bags by the front door came from Lizzie's room alone! Mason and William did a few art hubs.  William is just starting to enjoy coloring.  It's so cute! Potty Training Update:  William was being very stubborn today.  He pooped and peed in his underwear and refused to sit on the potty, for the most part.  He did manage to make it to the potty a few times.  I will try to stick this out if it kills me! Lizzie put mini braids in her hair (after her shower).  She's hoping for the crazy hair look tomorrow! The kids after prayers and scripture reading....

Potty Training Update: William went poop in the potty...and he pooped all over the floor. He went pee in the potty...and he peed all over the couch and a few times in his underwear. I have to keep going!  I have to stick with this!  I know that it will eventually click for him...at least that's my hope. Miah came over to play again today.  They get along like siblings.  They also fight like siblings. After a graham cracker snack, William had to show his girlfriend how good he is at vacuuming up crumbs.  Such a stud with those naked legs! Yesterday I mentioned how well Lizzie and Caitlyn get along with one another.  I think that William and Mason will also one day develop such a loving relationship with one another. I love those boys!
