Bryce turns 13

 This week was busy!

School started (with the students)!  It was really nice meeting my students.  I had a few "squirrels", students whom I will have to be a little more strict with, but for the most part, my students are really well behaved.  I'm proud of myself (for once) because I am really trying to get on top of classroom management this year.  I think that the strategies that I'm using this week are really going to be effective.  I'm so blessed to have the opportunity to have 72 students that I can get to know, develop relationships with, and hopefully influence their lives for the better for the one day a week that I get to have them in my class.


We celebrated Bryce's  birthday today with Jon's parents and Darlene's family.  This is, hands down, the easiest and most tastiest cake on earth!  Bryce turned 13 on Thursday!  We gave him a guitar earlier on in the year so his actual birthday was low-key.






Lizzie is so extremely talented!  She designed these dresses!

2021 Summary

 2021...What a year! Some Highlights: I read the Book of Mormon 4 times this year (one time I finished in 29 days!) We studied the Doctrine and Covenants for Come follow Me! Lizzie Started Highschool (and seminary)! William started Kindergarten! I got depressed being home without the kids...so I got my first job in 14 years! I was called to be the ward Young Women President in January. Jon is still serving in the Bishopric, this year as the 2nd Counselor. Bryce was ordained to the office of a Deacon and serves as the Deacon Quorum President. Jon broke his foot in March and had to have surgery. Our fruit trees produced no fruit this year, which was sad. Lizzie was extremely sick for about 2 months.  She had ovarian cysts, major constipation, and valley fever! We had the opportunity to listen to two General Conferences, which are my favorite holiday's. Another Lag in Posting

 I apologize for not writing very often.  I have just had a few really bad days this week.  Emotionally unstable days where I could barely make myself do the bare minimum.  Updating the blog wasn't number one on my priority list.  I'm feeling much better now, but I just can't properly document the past week.  Sorry! The days where I experience mental health challenges really get to me.  I feel like I'm in a dark place and trapped in my own mind, drowning in negativity, self-doubt, and self-loathing.  It's extremely powerful.  Thankfully, it is not like that every day of my life, as it is with those who suffer from severe depression.  I can't imagine not being able to snap out of it.  My "bad days" correlate very closely to my time of the month.  For about a week out of every month I feel very poorly, emotionally.  It's a hormonal imbalance that I feel is worse than most women.  At least I am unaware of any women who s...
