Our Savior - The Soul Saver

I failed to mention one very important thing that took place at the Temple on September 3rd, 2021. It was a little bit of inspiration that I received while waiting quietly during the endowment session. My mind exploded with "S" words that describe the Savior. They kept coming long after we left the temple.

The soles of our temple shoes completely fell apart.  Mine turned to goo.  Jon’s was falling to pieces in small chunks.  Nothing could be done for our shoe soles!  As I was sitting there, waiting, during a long moment of silence before we moved to the next room in the endowment, the thought came to me, “Nothing can be done for our shoe soles...but what about our souls?”  Jesus Christ is the saver of souls.  The souls that really matter.  While temple shoes protect and provide a covering for the soles of our feet, the Savior protects and provides a covering for our Spirits, our Souls.

Jesus...The Soul Saver

He Serves me, Sanctifies me, Suffered for me, Succors me, Shapes me, Soothes me, and Sustains me.  He Shed His blood and Sacrificed His life for me.

He is my Sanctuary, my Safety in the Storm.  I am the Sheep, He is my Shepherd.

Because of Him, I can be Sealed to my family for eternity.  Because of Him, I can Smile.

His light Shines and Shows me the way.  He helps me Succeed.  His grace is Sufficient.  He is  my Support.  He Supplies me with all that I need.

He is Sure, Still, Sacred, Satisfying, Scarred, Selfless, Sensitive, Sinless, Sorrowful, Spiritual, Spotless, Stable, Stainless, Strong, Stoic, Simple, Sweet, Secure, Sophisticated, Spiritual, Steady, and Sympathetic.

His birth brought a new Star.

He is my Stone, a Sure and Safe Foundation.

Jacob 4:15-16

“15 And now I, Jacob, am led on by the Spirit unto prophesying; for I perceive by the workings of the Spirit which is in me, that by the stumbling of the Jews they will reject the stone upon which thy might build and have a safe foundation.

16 But behold, according to the scriptures, this stone shall become the great, and the last, and the only sure foundation, upon which the Jews can build.”

The Savior chose to Stay.

I choose to build my testimony on Him and to hear His voice.  In doing so, I will not be Shaken.

Jacob 7:5

“‘And he had hope to shake me from the faith, notwithstanding the many revelations and the many things which I had seen concerning these things; for I truly had seen angels, and they administered unto me. And also, I had heard the voice of the Lord speaking unto me in very word, from time to time; wherefore, I could not be shaken.”

I desire to Seek Him, Serve Him, and Strive to follow Him always.

He is THE Solution.
