Feeling Blessed

Things are going well.  We have seriously been so extremely blessed.  So many people are suffering around the world and I feel a little guilty that life is going so well for us.  I hope that I am doing enough to thank my Father in Heaven, through my actions, how grateful that I am.

The kids played marbles today.  I love seeing them play together.

It rained last night.  There was a huge puddle at the front of the house that the kids spent a long time skipping and throwing rocks in it.  The joys of living on a rural dirt road in the desert.  The kids get to have the time of their lives.

We have such a long driveway, another one of my favorite aspects of our home.  We are so incredibly blessed.

It was the 100 Days of school this week.  Caitlyn got an extra craft and she shared with William.
They looked adorable!  Caitlyn is really enjoying school this semester.  I'm so grateful for her teacher and all of the hard work that she puts into her job so that the kids can still have a good school year, despite it being from home.

Lizzie made this beautiful Chinese lantern for her art class.  I am so amazed at her artistic ability.  She's very talented on so many levels.

Caitlyn made this cute little puppet theater and we all watched a show that she put on.

I tried a new granola recipe this week.  Lisa's Mom (Grandma Jarrett) gave it to me.  Since she passed away a few weeks ago, I thought that I would finally try it.  It was the best granola that I have ever tried.  The kids all loved it as well.  It disappeared in two days.

I've been busy making these class presidency binders for the YW.  It was a lot more work (and money, oops) that I had anticipated.  I'm going to drop them off to the YW tomorrow before our class presidency meeting on Sunday.  I was going to drop off a treat to them as well.  I felt bad not including all of the Young Women...so I made a treat for all of them.  It will take a while to drop them all off, but I just didn't feel right about only giving a treat to only the class presidencies. I love my calling.  I love the girls.  I pray for them, by name, each day.  How blessed am I to get to work with them.

Here are the treats that I made everyone.  White chocolate covered pretzels with valentines day sprinkles.  I also cut out 14 hears that say "God's Love is..." on each one.  20 girls, 14 hearts each...a lot of cutting.  It'll be a little Valentin's Day countdown for them.  I want to them to feel God's love in their lives.

Here Lizzie goes again with her amazing crafting abilities.  She used her loom to make this super cute hat!

I went shopping with Lizzie last night after dinner.  It was a nice little time to be together with her, one on on one.  It's quite enjoyable having a teenage child.  Especially one as great as Lizzie.

One of my favorite parts of the day is the early morning.  After I have exercised, studied my scriptures, stretched, showered, and got ready for the day.  I usually sit on the couch by the fire, waiting for the kids to get up.  One by one, they come in and we cuddle on the couch.  I usually get enough time to cuddle with each of them individually (Mason, Caitlyn, and William).  William is the most adorable in the morning.  He's so sweet and so snuggly.  What in the world am I going to do when they are all back in school next year?  I will miss these morning snuggles more than anything.  I love my babies.  I am so grateful that Heavenly Father blessed me with my five children.
