The Magic Brothers

Bryce and Mason have been really into magic lately.  They have been learning different magic tricks on YouTube.  They have a few pretty good tricks up their sleeves!  I took some videos today, but only one picture of Bryce.

Today was a great day!  It was Veterans Day so Jon didn't have to work and the kids didn't have to go to school.  It made me so excited for Thanksgiving Break coming up in a little over a week!  I can hardly wait!  And Tara's family will be coming for a few days, which will be so nice.  I miss them so much.

I went running this morning.  Only 4 miles...it was freezing!  But it felt so good to get out there and get my legs moving.

Jon and I went on a date!  It was so wonderful.  I really love going on dates.  We don't do it nearly as often as we need to.  We went to the 99 Cent Store and then out to eat at Yardhouse. I ordered a BBQ chicken salad and Jon ordered a hamburger and fries.  It was delicious.

Then we went home.  

I made a pasta dish for dinner.

Lizzie and I had a Stake Young Women Zoom meeting.  We took a personality test.  It was pretty enjoyable.  My results actually described me pretty well.

Tomorrow is back to the grind.  But we can do it!  We have Thursday and Friday...and then another weekend.

Jon and I were talking today and we think that we are going to be getting Mason a dog.  We think that it will really help provide him some emotional support.  We discussed this idea with him a little bit and he seemed to be on board and excited.

I am so incredibly blessed.  I have a loving husband, 5 beautiful children whom I was able to carry in my womb and give birth to, I have a healthy body, we live in a beautiful home in a quiet area, we have the Gospel of Jesus Christ in out lives, and we were sealed in the temple so that we will be able to be with our family for all eternity.  I couldn't be happier.

 2021...What a year! Some Highlights: I read the Book of Mormon 4 times this year (one time I finished in 29 days!) We studied the Doctrine and Covenants for Come follow Me! Lizzie Started Highschool (and seminary)! William started Kindergarten! I got depressed being home without the kids...so I got my first job in 14 years! I was called to be the ward Young Women President in January. Jon is still serving in the Bishopric, this year as the 2nd Counselor. Bryce was ordained to the office of a Deacon and serves as the Deacon Quorum President. Jon broke his foot in March and had to have surgery. Another Lag in Posting

 I apologize for not writing very often.  I have just had a few really bad days this week.  Emotionally unstable days where I could barely make myself do the bare minimum.  Updating the blog wasn't number one on my priority list.  I'm feeling much better now, but I just can't properly document the past week.  Sorry! The days where I experience mental health challenges really get to me.  I feel like I'm in a dark place and trapped in my own mind, drowning in negativity, self-doubt, and self-loathing.  It's extremely powerful.  Thankfully, it is not like that every day of my life, as it is with those who suffer from severe depression.  I can't imagine not being able to snap out of it.  My "bad days" correlate very closely to my time of the month.  For about a week out of every month I feel very poorly, emotionally.  It's a hormonal imbalance that I feel is worse than most women.  At least I am unaware of any women who s...
