Yoga Time!
Jon's parents got the keys to their new home! We went and saw it today. It's so nice! It just needs some new carpet, a fresh coat of paint, and a good cleaning and it will be good to go. It's really a nice home. I'm really excited for them.
I have been exercising in the morning, as usual, but I have been making more of an effort to incorporate some relaxing stretching and yoga as well. It's been nice to have that relaxing time for myself. I know that I've been exercising for years for "me time"...but there is something different about carving out time for less intense and more relaxing/restorative/stress-relieving exercises.
The kids also did some yoga this morning before they started school for the day.
I love our home. I really do. It's the perfect place to be together as a family. I love that there is enough space for us to gather together in the heart of the home (the kitchen/family room area). I couldn't have imagined a more perfect home design. I love it so much.
Caitlyn had an assignment to decorate a pumpkin. She came up with the idea and she painted this pumpkin all by herself. She has such a personality! I emailed the picture to her teacher and her teacher responded, "I wouldn't expect anything less than a rainbow unicorn from Caitlyn!". Yep...Caitlyn is all rainbows and unicorns!
She worked hard and did such a good job!
I have been thinking about President Nelson's most recent General Conference Talk. The title and the theme of his talk was "Let God Prevail". I absolutely love those words. I want to adopt those words as a motto in my life. I feel like those 3 words are powerful enough to solve most all of the problems that we are faced with in life. For Christmas, we are giving the Young Women in our ward a framed image of "Let God Prevail". I just love those words. I need to make a big sign for our home, I just don't know where to start.
Dwight brought home dinner tonight (Rotisserie chicken and a salad). It was so nice not to have to cook. However, I did make a dessert. Every fall, I usually make my famous pumpkin dump cake...I haven't made it yet this year. Today was the day! Everyone loved it. I love fall! I love pumpkin! It's hard to believe that Halloween is only a few days away and that Thanksgiving is right around the corner.
I might not be able to be an LVN anytime soon. I think that I will be homeschooling Bryce as well next year. He is really thriving with homeschooling this year. He loves it. And he's been very responsible. I guess we will have to see what happens. I will do what is best for my kids. I can put my goals on the back burner for now. My kids, after all, are my number one dream. They will always come first. There will be time to pursue additional dreams in the future. I'm counting on it. But I need to remember that my ultimate goal and purpose in life is to be there for my family. Family first. When I am not needed at home, I will be able to pursue other dreams and have the opportunity to reach out and serve in the community.
