Sunday Scripts: August 30th, 2020

Yesterday, on the way to the beach, we passed the exit that we normally take when we travel to the Los Angeles Temple.  I got emotional.  I miss the temple so much.  I really do.  I miss being able to walk inside of those walls and feel an immediate sense of peace.  I need that so badly right now.  I need the temple!  I hope that General Conference will help me to feel peace, but I'm guessing that the peace that I am ultimately seeking will only be able to be felt inside of the Lord's Holy House.  I hope that the temple will be able to open up again soon.  I hope that we will be able to go to church again soon.  I will never take the ability to attend church for granted again.  The past 6 months have truly helped me to recognize how much I really need people in my life.  When we go back to church I want to get to know every single person in my ward.  I want to serve with all of my might, mind, and strength.  I am doing the best that I can right now, but there is only so much that you can do while trapped at home without the ability to communicate with people face to face.  Oh, how I miss it.

Anyway, on to the Scripts!

Elizabeth Over, Age 13

"Welcome back to Sunday Special.  This week we went to the beach.  I also started Gorman.  At the beach I relaxed and found some shells.  And Mason found crab legs.  And the boys also found Sand Dollars.  We ate at Whole Foods, again.  I ate a BLT.  And there was no bacon.  And there was avocados.  And for church today I talked about Missionary Work.  And we sang songs.  My talk was about President Nelson's talk, "Be and Example of the Believers", or something like that.  And...what else?  Yeah.  Thank you for tuning in to this week's Sunday Special."

Bryce Over, Age 10 (His LAST Sunday as a 10-year-old!)

"We went to the beach. And we went to Whole Foods.   And we had fun at the beach.  We swam and found sand dollars.  I like being at the beach because the water is cold. Today in church I talked about the Armor of God.  The Armor of God helps you.  The breast plate of righteousness, the sword of truth, the shoes of faith, etc.  It helps you quench the fiery darts of the wicked.  It protects you against temptations. On Tuesday it's my birthday!  Next Sunday it's my birthday party.  And for my birthday I'm going to get a Lego set from Mason.  And I made comic books and I got a green light sabor Crystal from the wii game.  We got a new game.  It's an Avatar game.  I can't wait until my birthday.  It's in 2 days.  I'm going to wake up at 12 to get my presents.  I think I'm going to get a Lego set from Mason and a Dog Man book.  Mommy is going to make me chocolate covered donuts for breakfast.  For lunch I'm going to have grilled cheese.  For dinner I'm going to go out to eat with Daddy.  And the Ghost is Toast.  Do Garillas have waffle teeth?  I don't know.  My favorite book is The Big Butter Battle.  My favorite myth and legend is the Monster in the Maze.  And my favorite book of All-time is the Brawl of the Wild (A Dog Man Book).  It's a bout a dog person guy and the last book there was a guy who shrunk them into fleas and made a big robot.  Then they found a shrink ray and shrunk the robot. They got disguised as Dog Man and robbed some banks.  Etc.  We read a bunch of Goosebumps books.  And I got 100 percent on my Math Test and a 97 percent on my Language Arts Test.  I feel good about that and I feel really, really, really, really, smart.  I took a science test, I'm not sure about my grade.  I made an Animal Cell Cake.  It was pretty gross.  I made a video about it and turned it in.  I made a bunch of stuff out of Legos.  And more things happened.  We did jump rope outside with Mommy.  We watched "Cora" this week.  And we read Shel Silverstein.  And I read "Brawl of the Wild" this week.  And it was good.  I signed up for band, the saxaphone.  I know how to play parts of "Phantom Menace" and "Duel of Fates" on the piano.  I want to read "The One and Only Ivan" and a bunch of other books.  I want to read "Bone" series and "Amulet" series.  I also want to read, "The One and Only Bob".  Dinosaurs are my favorite animal but they are extinct so my favorite animal is a shark because they are related to dinosaurs.  I like Star Wars and I've almost seen all of the movies except for the new one and the third movie.  My 2nd favorite movie is Mary Poppins returns.   My favorite food is pesto pasta with twisty noodles.  I like alfredo sauce with penne noodles.  I like to swim at the beach.  We swam at the beach and it was pretty crowded.  We stayed there for a couple of hours.  At Whole Foods we got a pizza with pepperoni, cheese, and mushrooms.  I didn't like mushrooms so I took them off.  My other favorite movie is Christopher Robin.  And I built a big fort and we might sleep in it if it's comfortable.  And this year I'm going to turn 11.  If the saxaphone doesn't work out I want to play the percussion or the trombone.  Or if those don't work out I'll just play the piano.  I wrote a book called "Bryce's Dream World".  Most of it's a dream.  I put William in the corner of shame.  It's a funny book.  You can get the supplies you need at Michael's.  Blank books, prisma colors, and markers.  You can make your own books. I got a pack of glow sticks.  Only 2 worked.  The big fat one didn't work.  I played basketball. And I know how to play football, and basketball, and golf.  For my birthday I think that I can sleep with Lizzie.  And for Christmas I wonder if it's going to snow.  Because if we do school in January and it snows will we get a day off? Because the internet won't work for everyone?  Will it damage the school?  That's all for today!"

Mason Over, Age 8

"We went to the beach.  At the beach we dug a big huge hole.  We set up a tent at the beach.  When we went home, we had a big huge pizza.  I sprained my finger when I was sitting on the ground.  It feels better now.  At school, I keep on getting 100 percent on my math tests.  It makes me feel happy.  At home we made a big tent.  In church, I talked about Book of Mormon stories."

Caitlyn Over, Age 6

"I went to the beach.  I found a lot of shells.  And one broked that I was going to make a necklace with.  And it was on the floor so Mason stepped on it.  It was in a baggie.  My name is Caitlyn.  And I'm reading now.  I readed the whole Princess Book.  Jolene comed over and we painted nails together.  And on our fingernails we had pink and blue.  On our toes we had sparkly pink and hot pink that was red.  And I talked about Adam and Eve in church.  And Lizzie talked about Missionary Work.  And on Sunday, Mason fasted.  And I'm in my p.j.'s.  And I want to stay in my pajamas for Halloween because it would be cold.  And I think we are just staying at home for Halloween.  And it was Lizzie's birthday and she got clothes and pencils and a bag.  That's all she got.  Brycie's birthday is this Tuesday.  And then it's Mason's, then it's mine, then it's William's, then it's Lizzi'es, then it's Brycie's, then it's Mason's, then it's mine...And I'll be eight.  And then one day Lizzie will have glasses on her cheeks, I think.  Because her cheeks can't see and so she's too lonely.  So glasses will come to her cheeks and she will feel all better again. And Daddy will have glasses on his head.  And Mommy will have no glasses, but she will have eyeballs.  If I were her, I would put a line on my head to my eyebrows with a marker and it will make glasses.  William does not like Batman.  He likes Ghostbusters now.  This Ghost is Roast.  William is a ghost.  Poor William.  He is in a machine and we eat him since he's a donut.  He's a donut.  William is a donut.  So we eat him and it's so good that he grows even bigger when he eats one bite.  And the donut is so good that when we eat one bite it turns bigger and bigger.  And the donut is so squishy that we can eat the whole thing and we could eat a giant bite.  If we eat the whole thing in one bite, we will turn into a donut.  So then Daddy turned into a donut.  And Daddy donut was a rock.  So Daddy donut was the biggest donut and the squishiest donut.  Squishier than William.  He was a rock donut.  Even though I said rock, he is a rock donut.  It's a rock because the rock is on the face.  And then, guess what happened?  The curse comed from Lizzie!  She made this world a sloth.  And in space, the sloth was as big as our house.  And it was in a circle and its bum was floating everywhere.  And then Lizzie was a bad sloth and she ate all the people!  And it should be very slow but this was a bad one.  It's a person that turns into a fast, fast, fast sloth.  Then the Caitlyn curse!  The Caitlyn curse was about ponies, and unicorns, and rainbows.  When all of that happened, no one liked rainbows or unicorns.  And no none loves Caitlyn, except for Mommy and Daddy and Lizzie and Bryce and Mason and William.  And Grandma and Bapa.  And James and Lydia.  And my other Grandma and Grandpa.  And Riley, and Mikey, and Ty, and Blake....and on and on.  All of them love me except the bad people.  One day the unicorns were black and not rainbows.  That's what happened at the end.  Next time I'll share you the new story.  Suns are William.  Alligators are Mason.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

William Over, Age 4

"This Ghost is Toast!  And I like Ghostbusters and everything.  Even I like Pokemon.  Even I love Jesus.  And Jesus made us.  And the trees.  And the dirt.  And the gates.  And Jesus maked our trees to have fruit.  I went to the beach.  I played in the sand.  And I got in the water.  And I went on the waves in the water and it was cool.  And I told mommy it was cool and mommy said, yes.  And I love everyone.  And I found some shells that Lizzie found.  And I wanted to be not mean, just good, every day.  When I'm 4 I swallow oranges.  And I am 4.  When I was 3 I spit oranges out.  I spit them out when I was 3 and now I swallow them.  And Brycie and Mason and me are making a fort.  And it's cool.  And we share and we help each other.  And I learned good at my alphabet.  Even I like "Reading Eggs".  And I like all of the things of "reading eggs", even I want to finish the ABC's of reading eggs.  I almost did the whole thing of the ABC's of reading eggs.  I like fruit and I like PB and J and Peanut Butter sandwiches.  And I like Mommy.  And we be strong and we love each other.  And I'll get the terror dogs and the slime ghostbuster for Christmas.  And Brycie and Mason and Mine fort looks cool.  And there is a slide.  And I want to finish the whole page of reading eggs so I could be done.  And I like the pictures on the wall.  But I'm really scared of real monsters.  But I'm scared of the movie of Goosebumps.  And we used to have another house but now we have this house.  And we could play video games and we can go inside of our tent.  And we can be good.  And we have windows and our tent is cool.  And we listen to Jesus and if we don't listen to Jesus if it's church time we will be bad...but if you listen to Jesus you can be good.  And say prayers.  And listen to Jesus.  And to hug people.  And I want to add that after Christmas it will be Thanksgiving and I'll get a Ghostbuster Mobile.  In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
