Beach Day!

Due to the Pandemic, this was the first Beach Day of 2020.  We had a very productive day today!  Jon dropped me off at the DMV near Ventura so that I could get my drivers license renewed.  The lines at the DMV in Lancaster were horrific...today I was in an out in one hour.  So worth it!  Then we went to the beach!  It was 66 degrees!  I thought it was cold...but the kids ALWAYS enjoy the beach, despite the weather.  Bryce and Mason played on the beach boards, they all waded in the ocean, and they all spent a good amount of time playing in the sand.  A perfect beach day!  After the beach we checked out the thrift stores in Ventura.  We found some books (Mason wanted some more Goosebumps books, of course).  I found a few learning games for William for preschool this year.  I also found a game that I had been wanting for a while but it was super expensive so I never bought it.  It's called "Traffic Jam" and it's a puzzle/logic game that can be played individually.  We went to Sam's club and then ate dinner at the Whole Wheatery.  It was a wonderful day!  We are so incredibly blessed.  I learned today that the Morris Family will be selling their home and moving to Arizona.  They are the ones who own the Dojo and the Ninja Gym.  I think that the pandemic really hit them hard.  They almost lost their business.  They probably can't afford their home.  I'm not sure exactly what all of the details entail, I just know that the Pandemic really affected them whereas our family have just been blessed enough to go on with life as usual.  In fact, life is better than usual for us.  I don't feel like I do enough for others.  I feel anxious and like I need to do something for someone, anyone.  I feel uncomfortable being so blessed when others are not.

Anyway, here are the pictures from today!

Before we left for the beach I found Mason reading to Caitlyn...what sweet children these two are.

At the Beach!

This is Lizzie's infamous "MARF" symbol.  She created it and it's kind of her trademark.  MARF means: Marshmallows Are Very Fluffy.
