General Conference Weekend
I think it's safe to say that I have failed in my attempt to upload a post every single day. Oh well! Occasional posting is better than no posting. Life has just been so busy with the upcoming move that I haven't been taking pictures or taking the time to blog at night. Perhaps things will change after things slow down and we settle into our new home. Our forever home! Finally! No more moving for us!
I took the younger two on a little walk in the desert behind our house. We discovered a bunch of tire parts that they had fun jumping in.
Believe it or not, we actually have other children as well but the younger ones seem to always want to have their pictures taken, ha ha. I spend a lot more time with the younger two because they aren't as independent as the older ones and they need me by their sides all the time (or so it seems).
After baths!
Taking a walk at the Desert Nature Preserve.
They love this long bridge!
They found a caterpillar on the bench and spent at least 30 minutes staring at it. They even built it a bed out of sticks and they put it inside of it.
Best friends in the bath!
Since we are moving on Easter Weekend, the Easter Bunny decided to pay a visit to our house on Saturday, April 6th. It was also General Conference weekend! We had a wonderful weekend sitting at home, enjoying conference, eating Easter treats and other yummy food...and also packing up boxes in between sessions.
William was SO genuinely happy to find his Easter basket on Saturday morning! Look at the pure joy in his face! I could just squeeze him all day long!
We had a very meager Easter Egg hunt this year. There are moving boxes all over the place and so the Easter Bunny hid the eggs in one room. That didn't stop William from getting excited though! Next Saturday is our ward Easter egg hunt, so they will have plenty of opportunities to hunt eggs next weekend.
I made a yummy breakfast casserole on Saturday. It has bread, milk, eggs, cheese, and breakfast sausage. I assembled it Friday night and just plopped it in the oven on Saturday morning. It was ready in an hour!
I also made homemade chocolate peanut butter eggs for each Easter Basket. So easy and so delicious!
Egg and sausage breakfast casserole with bananas, yogurt, and granola.
Snapshots of our General Conference watching!
That's all, folks! This week will be another busy one with packing and organizing and getting things ready for the move. We should be getting the keys in 10 days or so! I have this fear that things aren't going to work out and that we will have to move back into our home. I have a problem with worrying and stressing about things that won't happen...I know it isn't rational but that's how I am!
