Spring Break, Part 2

Image
Yesterday (Wednesday), Jon and I dropped the kids off at Jon's parent's home and we were able to spend a good portion of the day together! This was the only picture I got of our date, unfortunately. The first thing we did was go to AVC.  Jon had to take care of some work business.  So he did some things while I walked around the classroom, ha ha. Then we went out to eat at the only restaurant in Antelope Acres (where we are moving to).  It's called "The Azteca" and it's a Mexican restaurant.  It was really good!  It was kind of pricey though, so it won't be a regular place for our family to dine at, that's for sure. The we got to go to our future home!  The inspection was taking place and so we were able to go and walk around.  The house is in such great condition that the inspector couldn't think of a single negative thing to put on the inspectors report!  It is such a nice, solid home.  The current owners are the sweete...

Spring Break Fun, Part 1

These are out of order...and it takes too long to fix them.  So I'll explain the pictures as I go! Day 2 of Spring Break! We went to Chuck-E-Cheese's (the kids refer to it as Charles Edward Cheese's...ha ha). After Chuck-E-Cheese's we went and ate frozen yogurt at Sweet Frog.  It's our favorite place! The weather was so nice after church on Sunday!  I took the boys on a walk at the Desert Preserve.  The girls didn't feel like tagging along.  It was actually very warm.  70 Degrees! Brothers!  Sons! Well, since we are staying here forever...I think it's about time for me to fully accept the beauty of the desert!  I really love the Joshua Trees.  Very beautiful! St. Patrick's Day was on Sunday.  We have fun with the holiday!  The Leprechaun turned the milk green and left the kids Lucky Charms for breakfast in the morning.  And then we had an all-green dinner...

Well, I think it's safe to say that my new years resolution of updating this blog every day has already failed (and it's only March)...which I suppose is fairly average as far as New Year's resolutions go. Here's to updating it once a week!  At the very least! Well, it's officially official.  Our current house is in escrow and we are in escrow on a home in Antelope Acres.  I cannot believe that it all worked out!  I have come to realize even more that with God, all things are possible.   I was able to find these two pictures of our future home: This is the front entry way: And this is a view from the back patio.  This is the built-in kitchen!  It has a place to put your grill, a built-in charcoal grill, a sink, counter space, and a glass barrier to block the wind.  You can see the trees surrounding the perimeter of the property.  There is a shed in the back corner as well.  It really has a park-ish feel to...
