Apollo Park

 After school today, I took the younger three to Apollo Park again.  It was so windy and cold!  It was about 65 degrees, which isn't freezing, but it was definitely a lot colder than what we have been used to lately.  It was so nice going outside in the middle of the day though, for a change.  Daylight savings time is on Sunday, which means that it will start getting dark around 5:30 in the evenings.  The kids will have to play outside in the daytime now rather than after dinner, our typical summer schedule.

My kids bring me so much joy.  What a blessing it is to be their mother and to have them in my home, under my care, 24 hours a day.  I am so blessed.  Time is fleeting.  These precious moments will be gone in the blink of an eye.  It saddens me.

 2021...What a year! Some Highlights: I read the Book of Mormon 4 times this year (one time I finished in 29 days!) We studied the Doctrine and Covenants for Come follow Me! Lizzie Started Highschool (and seminary)! William started Kindergarten! I got depressed being home without the kids...so I got my first job in 14 years! I was called to be the ward Young Women President in January. Jon is still serving in the Bishopric, this year as the 2nd Counselor. Bryce was ordained to the office of a Deacon and serves as the Deacon Quorum President. Jon broke his foot in March and had to have surgery. Our fruit trees produced no fruit this year, which was sad. Lizzie was extremely sick for about 2 months.  She had ovarian cysts, major constipation, and valley fever! We had the opportunity to listen to two General Conferences, which are my favorite holiday's. Another Lag in Posting

 I apologize for not writing very often.  I have just had a few really bad days this week.  Emotionally unstable days where I could barely make myself do the bare minimum.  Updating the blog wasn't number one on my priority list.  I'm feeling much better now, but I just can't properly document the past week.  Sorry! The days where I experience mental health challenges really get to me.  I feel like I'm in a dark place and trapped in my own mind, drowning in negativity, self-doubt, and self-loathing.  It's extremely powerful.  Thankfully, it is not like that every day of my life, as it is with those who suffer from severe depression.  I can't imagine not being able to snap out of it.  My "bad days" correlate very closely to my time of the month.  For about a week out of every month I feel very poorly, emotionally.  It's a hormonal imbalance that I feel is worse than most women.  At least I am unaware of any women who s...

Decluttering Day

Jon took today and tomorrow off from work.  While he was working on decluttering the garage, among other errands...I started decluttering the house.  I only made it through Lizzie's room, the shoe closet, the kitchen, the loft, and William's room.  I will continue to add to this Goodwill pile tomorrow when I finish the rest of the rooms.  Those two garbage bags by the front door came from Lizzie's room alone! Mason and William did a few art hubs.  William is just starting to enjoy coloring.  It's so cute! Potty Training Update:  William was being very stubborn today.  He pooped and peed in his underwear and refused to sit on the potty, for the most part.  He did manage to make it to the potty a few times.  I will try to stick this out if it kills me!
