Frankenplant!

I only took two pictures today.

We went to Apollo Park in the morning!  I didn't take any pictures.  But it was wonderful!  The playgrounds were open and the kids played on the playground...the first playground that they have played on since March!  They had so much fun.  I saw Rachel Phelan there and it was nice to talk to her for a little bit.

After the park we got back to the grind and did school.

Caitlyn did a great job on her "Frankenplant"!

Mason has been struggling with school.  He whines and complains about it every day.  He refuses to write anything down.  When he does math he just wants to do it all in his head and he absolutely refuses to write the problem down and work through it.  It has been so frustrating.  Homeschooling has a lot of benefits...but I'm feeling like it isn't working for the kids this year, aside from Lizzie.  They all complain and don't want to listen to me.  Sometimes it's really hard.  But I shouldn't be complaining.  We are too blessed for me to murmur like this.

We had a young women activity tonight.  We participated in a virtual tour of the Mormon Battalion.  I loved it.  We only had 2 girls from our ward show up (including Lizzie), so that was a little discouraging.

It seems like I reach a point in every calling that I get when I feel like I'm not needed any longer.  I usually get these feelings right before I'm released.  I can't imagine the Bishop changing up the Young Women Presidency any time soon, but who knows.  Part of me feels like I'm not needed there any longer.  Or that I am needed elsewhere.  Or that someone else would be better in the calling than I would be.  Maybe I'm just feeling discouraged tonight.  Today was a discouraging day.  I don't want to turn into "Debbie Downer", so I will leave out the discouraging details.

Let me just say that I just want to curl up in a ball, get away from everyone, and cry myself to sleep.

I hope that tomorrow is better.
