2 Days in One
I wasn't able to post last night, so I'll do 2 days in one...again.
Jon's parents and grandma are moving in on Wednesday! We've been getting things ready today.
The kids wanted to make "Haunted Halloween Tarts" for dinner today. They turned out okay, even though they aren't much to look at. The kids cut the shapes out and painted them.
This is what they were supposed to look like:
They also wanted to make "Lady Fingers" for dessert.
Needless to say, they didn't quite turn out as planned, ha ha! We had a good laugh. They look more like Toes than Fingers! Swollen witch fingers.
They actually looked pretty good before they were baked.
Lizzie made this Halloween scarf! I can't believe it. She continues to amaze me every day with her talent. She was also playing the piano today when I was in a different room. It sounded so nice that I thought that Jon was playing it. Nope, it was Lizzie!
How can I not love this face?
Today I was cuddling him and I told him that I don't know what I would do without him. He said that I would probably die without him (something I often tell him). Then he told me that if I never ate the grapes than I woudn't have any kids. I told him I was confused and he further explained. He said, "You know, like Adam and Eve ate the fruit? If they didn't eat the fruit than they couldn't have had kids." When I asked him where he learned that from, he laughed and said, "You told me that, mommy!". This kid is like a sponge!
Yesterday, Lizzie and I got haircuts at Walmart. I got a really bad haircut. I was very upset. I just wanted to go to bed and cry myself to sleep and never look in the mirror again.
But Jon is the absolute best husband in the whole entire world. He looked up a few videos on YouTube and he cut my hair! He tried to fix it. It looks much better than it used to look. I'm still a little embarrassed about it...but I honestly don't know what else to do. I just have to be done getting professional haircuts. I told Jon that he could go ahead and cut my hair from now on.
While Jon was fixing my haircut, William fell asleep on the bed. He's getting so big!
We went out to eat for dinner last night before shopping. It's so wonderful spending time as a family. I am so incredibly blessed to have a loving husband and our 5 little miracles. My life is complete.
