James's Birthday Party
I did an exercise video this morning. I was too tired to wake up early and go for a long walk or a run. It's okay. It felt good to sleep in the extra hour. Although...I really did miss my alone time outside. I think I really, really, really need it in order to start the day out right and to keep my sanity. Jon was gone most of the day and we met him at the birthday party. He was helping his parents move things to storage. I started getting a little nervous today, again, when I thought of how we will soon have 3 extra adults living in our home. I wonder how meals will go. I wonder if they will expect me to make gourmet meals every day. I wonder if I will feel like a maid and be cleaning up after everyone...more than I usually do. Just so many unknowns about the situation and it's making me a little nervous and anxious.
I am getting a little discouraged about nursing school. The counselor just isn't getting back to me. It's frustrating, depressing, and I'm finding myself starting to lose hope. I tried to sign up for a chemistry class, but I couldn't because I need a counselor to sign me in. If my counselor isn't responding to my emails...then I will never be able to sign up for any class. I thought maybe I'd try for the Vocational Nursing Program instead. And then do the Registered Nursing Program afterwards. Since the vocational nursing program requires you to take a nutrition class, I signed up for an online course for next semester. I just want to do what I can to move towards my goal.
I cut the boys' hair today. I didn't get any pictures. They look decent for my first time solo. I didn't fade correctly but I'll have Jon teach me how to do it again and I bet I'll do better next time. It's actually pretty fun to cut hair!
We went to James's Birthday Party tonight at Darlene's house. This is the first time since they bought that house (3 years ago) that we have been there for a party. It's a nice home. They just got a playground out back and the kids had a blast. It makes me really excited for the day when we will get a playground in our backyard.
Anyway, here are the pictures from today:
