Rattle Snakes, Peach Leather, and Puzzles

I spent a good part of an hour peeling and pureeing our fresh very small peaches in an effort to make fruit leather.  I baked the fruit puree for 8 hours at a very low temperature.  It was supposed to turn into soft fruit leather.  Well, it didn't turn out as expected (surprise, surprise).  Most of it turned into crispy peach chips.  However, I am going to try not to get discouraged.  I'm just going to keep trying.  One of these days I will be successful.  This was my first time trying to make homemade fruit leather.  I'll try again with plums tomorrow and see what happens.

Lizzie was at a friends house all day today.  We all missed her so much!  Especially Caitlyn.  Caitlyn and Lizzie are usually joined together at the hip.  Caitlyn and I spent some time together doing puzzles.  We did a total of 5. We were going to keep going but she decided that she was done with puzzles for the day.

Mason spent some time today reading a "Calvin and Hobbes" comic book.  I used to love reading those comic books when I was younger.

I did the cup game with Caitlyn and William today.  I put little treats underneath the cups.  Caitlyn has to read a sight word before eating the treat.  William had to identify a letter or number.  It's a simple little game that they absolutely love.

Jon is almost done with the entertainment center!  It looks absolutely gorgeous so far!  I'm so proud of him and in awe at his talent.  I can't believe he made this!  It's just adds one more thing to the long list of reasons why I love our forever home.  I hope we have another 50 years together in this home.  I can't imagine ever leaving it.  I want Jon and I to grow old together in this home.  I want my kids to be able to come back to this home after they grow up.  When the visit home, I want it to be a warm and welcoming place for them to come back to.  I can picture our grandchildren coming here to visit us.  I know that this house will be the perfect house for the grandchildren.  It will have a playground, a large barn, chickens, possibly a pony, lots of trees, etc.  An absolute dream for any child!

Lizzie and Caitlyn drew these pictures for me this morning.  I have the best daughters in the world!

I saw this rattlesnake on my run this morning!  It doesn't look that large in the picture, but it was a pretty big size!
