A Good Day for Biking
Today was a great day! It was only 94 degrees outside (about 5 to 10 degrees cooler than normal) so we were able to spend a little bit more time outside.
After dinner, we went on a family bike ride. Well, without Jon because we don't have enough bikes for us all to go together. We will be buying a new bike soon since Lizzie and Bryce have been using our bikes for a while.
I will never get tired of riding bikes on our dirt road. It is so peaceful! I love, love, love that the kids can enjoy riding their bikes without worrying about getting hit by cars. I love that I can let them go around the block by themselves without worrying that something terrible is going to happen to them. I feel completely safe here in the Acres. We are so blessed to be able to raise our kids here. I feel like they are the luckiest kids in the world.
I made crockpot lasagna for dinner today and it was a hit! It's the easiest meal in the world to make...and even William gobbled it up!
Mason would wear his pajamas all day if I allowed it. Actually, he wouldn't wear his pajamas..he would wear over-sized shirts with only his underwear underneath. I tried to take a picture of him in his "homeless" shirt today but he wasn't having it, ha ha.
The kids love playing with Daddy's old toys. William and Caitlyn played with Daddy's dinosaurs today.
I am so proud of Lizzie! She finished knitting her very first scarf! It turned out beautiful! She is one special girl to be able to focus on something for that long. She worked very hard on it!
William got a bike ride after dinner as well as this morning after breakfast!
I snapped some pictures of the kids riding their bikes on our property. What a wonderful life that they have!
Daddy doing a little yard work this morning before being stuck in meetings all day for his new job at Gorman. What a great guy!
Some more bike riding pictures.
I forgot to mention that I have been reading a Goosebumps book a day to the kids. They love those books! And they are entertaining enough for me as well so I don't get tired of reading them. A win for us all!
Tomorrow is William's party! I'm excited to make the cake. I really look forward to creating the kids' cakes every birthday. It's one of my favorite parts about being a mom. Hope it turns out!
