Since it's November, I'm going to try and focus on Gratitude. I found a 30 Day Gratitude Journal Countdown and I'm going to try to stick to it.
Day 1 (Yesterday): How has an "attitude of gratitude" blessed you in the past?
Well, with Covid-19 things have been pretty crazy. But I am so incredibly grateful that our lives have not changed (aside from everyone staying home all of the time). The fact that everyone is always home is actually a good thing. I have especially really appreciated the Come Follow Me Program and having church at home.
Day 2: What challenges do you face in generating feelings of gratitude?
I go through times where I genuinely feel grateful for everything. I wish that it could always stay that way. But I admit that there are often times where I become so self-absorbed (because of feelings of depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem) that I just have a hard time expressing gratitude or even feeling it. All I can think about during those dark times is the negativity inside of my head. This is something that I can work on. Perhaps I can make a list of 20 things that I am grateful for when I'm experiencing those dark days.
