Half Way Through the Week!
Caitlyn's Social Studies Assignment today. She is such a talented artist. She loves drawing pictures. I love this sweet little girl!
Lizzie had to make her own paint for her art class. She had to let 4 cups of milk sit out until it got to room temperature. It curdled and stunk. Then she had to add vinegar and crushed up sidewalk chalk...and whatever else she could find to try and thicken it up. She didn't really follow directions. It turned out awful, ha ha.
This is what the "paint" looked like after we strained it. She has to somehow paint a picture with this paint...
Caitlyn's reading skills have really skyrocketed over the last week. She used to struggle with this book...now she is reading it very quickly and easily. I am so proud of her and all of her hard work.
I used to make bread in my bread maker weekly when I was in college. It made the best "homemade" whole wheat bread. I hardly ever use it anymore. We needed bread today. I didn't want to make bread...so I pulled the bread maker out. One loaf was nearly gone in an instant, lol. I suppose I could make this a regular occurrence.
William and I also made Banana Snack Cake today. I guess I was in the baking mood today.
I just learned about a senior who committed suicide. He attended the same high school that Ellie and Isaac attend (Lisa's 2 youngest kids). It's terribly sad. This pandemic is really affecting people. My thoughts and prayers are with that young boys family. Suicide prevention is a passion of mine. I hope that I can one day be a nurse so that I can be qualified to teach suicide prevention classes. So sad for all family members and friends involved.
