Fun Friday!
Today was a pretty good day.
It's September 25th...My Mom and Dad's 39th anniversary (well, if Mom was still alive). I thought about Mom a lot today. My siblings and I sent out some group texts today expressing our love for Mom. We also came to the conclusion that she was so good at lifting people up and boosting their self-esteem. We all feel as if our own self-esteems have decreased since she died. We also came to the conclusion that it will help us feel better about ourselves if we stop focusing on ourselves and start serving others. Like Mom did. I know that I always feel better about myself if I serve others. Not focusing on myself is key to not feeling bad about myself. I need to do better at reaching outward.
Today was Morgana's birthday. As I've mentioned before, Morgana is the woman who I have been helping teach the gospel to. I made her a chocolate cake and dropped it off at her house. It was really good to see her. She is so sweet. She turned 35 today. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to have been so involved in helping teach her the gospel with the missionaries. I hope that she will be able to get baptized. I hope that I will be able to attend her baptism with all of the COVID restrictions.
General Conference is NEXT Saturday! I can't wait. I don't think that I have ever looked forward to a general conference as much as I have looked forward to this one. I am so excited.
Today was sort of a laid back day. The kids didn't have too much school work, so it wasn't too bad.
After Jon was done working, we went into to town to take care of a few errands. We were planning on getting the flu shot but they were closed when we got there. We went out to eat at B.J.'s. Then we went to Jon's parents house to drop off the 4 oldest kids for a cousins sleepover with James and Lydia. They will have a blast, I'm sure.
I'm having a "sleepover" with William tonight in my bed. It will be nice to have him here so that I don't have to keep getting up at night and putting him back to bed.
Here we are at B.J.'s:
