Autumn Day

The weather was amazing today!  It only got to 88 degrees.  A miracle!

I took the youngest three kids to Apollo Park this morning!  It was a much needed outing.  I needed to be outdoors more than I had realized.  We did school and we put up our fall decorations today as well.  I didn't get any pictures of the decorations.  Maybe tomorrow.

I was in the Fall Spirit...so I made a mini Thanksgiving dinner.  We ate turkey (with gravy and homemade plum sauce), mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, and salad.  It was a nice way to ring in the Autumn Season.  And the weather cooperated so well today that I couldn't resist.  The only thing missing was a pumpkin pie.

This is my favorite season time of year.  All of the birthday's are done (aside from Jon's).  General Conference is a few weeks away...followed by Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  It's just the best!  I did find out, however, that Halloween is "cancelled" this year (in L.A. County) due to the Pandemic.  No trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treating, Halloween parties, etc.  Well, regardless of what the local government says, they can't stop us from having an epic Halloween in our very own home.

All of these pictures were taken at Apollo Park.  This park is only a few miles away from us.  When the weather is cooler (like it was today), we like to go to this park often.  The park has 3 playgrounds and they were all blocked off because of Covid, but we still managed to have fun.  It's a great place for biking and walking.

It was a wonderful day.  I feel very blessed.  Now if I can only keep my anxiety at bay.  Honestly, I think it has more to do with my low self-esteem than my anxiety.  I do suffer from anxiety, but I think my low self-esteem intensifies the feelings and has been preventing me from getting help from those who are closest to me.  I don't know how to fix it...I have been hoping that I would just grow out of it.  Maybe one day...I'm still young, ha ha.
