An Answer to a Prayer
It's Friday! Hooray!
Last night was rough. I cried myself to sleep. I was so upset. I couldn't stop crying. I prayed and prayed and begged Heavenly Father to please send the Holy Ghost to me to provide me with some peace and comfort. Part of me just wanted my Mom...but I knew that she couldn't be there for me. I knew that the Holy Ghost was who I needed. Within a few minutes, a sense of peace washed over me. I was calm. I was able to fall asleep. I had received an answer to my prayer.
Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and having access to a member of the Godhead, The Holy Ghost, at all times is one of the greatest blessings of my life.
Jon and I were able to join the Missionaries today (over the phone) as they taught an investigator, Morgana. This was my 3rd or 4th time joining in on a discussion with this investigator. She doesn't quite understand how there can be one true church and one true prophet on Earth. Jon gave a good analogy. He talked about how if we need to get our car properly registered, we need to go to the correct source. We can't go to Walmart and get our cars registered. We can...but it won't be valid. We need to go somewhere that has the proper authority to give us the documentation that we need. Likewise, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the Earth. The only true church with the proper authority, given from God, to baptize. The only church led on Earth by the only true and living prophet, President Nelson, under the direction of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
I have loved having the opportunity to join in with the missionaries recently.
This is a bad picture, but I made homemade pizza tonight for dinner. A few years ago I came across the best pizza crust. I haven't used another recipe since. Tonight I made chicken, bacon, ranch pizza...and plain old traditional pepperoni.
I wish that I could have another baby!
Last night I signed up for a few more free online classes through the library. I'm currently taking Spanish 3. I'm not studying very well. I'm basically printing out the information so that I have it and just learning enough to pass the quizzes. I plan on studying and learning later on with the information that I have been provided in these classes.
I signed up for a Stress Management class, a Neonatal Health Class, and a Women's Health Class. Including the Nutrition class that I'm taking this semester (an actual class that I'm taking at the college), I've discovered my passions again. Now if only I can get into nursing school and become a nurse so that I will be "qualified" to do the job that I went to college for. To be a health educator. Or...I will at least be on track to being able to work in the Labor and Delivery or Neonatal Departments in the Hospital. That would be a dream.
