Yesterday's Post...The Next Morning
I woke up this morning and realized that I forgot to post last night! I'm doing it now (in the morning) so that I can stay caught up. Expect another post later on this evening!
Yesterday was exhausting. I'm not really sure why it wore me out so much. I spent the day cleaning/organizing William's/Bryce's room and a hall closet. Doesn't sound like much...but it literally took all day, ha ha. I'm taking an online Spanish class through the library (nothing too serious) and I couldn't even look at the lesson at the end of the day.
Anyway, here are some pictures to document the day:
I picked this fruit yesterday morning from our trees! I can't believe how much there is. And there are still so much more on the trees. Before next summer, I'm going to learn how to can so that I can preserve it. With this fruit, I'll try to make plum fruit roll-ups, a peach cobbler, a peach pie, and who knows what else! I just love that our yard produces so much fruit. It blows my mind. And I nearly ate all of the apricots all by myself before our Utah trip. We are so incredibly blessed.
These two truly are the best of friends. They spend their time making clothing for their stuffed bunnies. They have been using the actual sewing machine lately and it amazes me!
Two nights ago when we were doing "Come Follow Me" together as a family (Jon was in town), William suddenly ran to the kitchen and said, "I'm the worstest in our family. I'm the loser in our family." It absolutely broke my heart! It was seriously the saddest thing in the world to hear those words come out of 3-year-old lips. I have no idea where those words came from. So I grabbed William and cuddled him while we all went around the room and told him why we love him so much. I texted Jon and told him what went on and he picked up some donuts for breakfast the next morning. As predicted, the donuts made William very happy!
Pictures of the newly clean and organized boys' room. I had to move the toys that used to be in the family room in here to make room for the new shelving system that Jon is making. Somehow, all of the toys fit! I bet this room will stay clean for 1 day, if that. Oh well! Such is the life with children.
Caitlyn is learning how to play the piano. Slowly but surely. She likes to do her own thing on the piano but I really want her to learn the notes and how to read music. She's getting there! Here she is practicing her note identification on the chrome book. Caitlyn is such a sweet little girl. She radiates sweetness and love. I love her so!
Holy cow, the boys make such a mess with their Legos! But they love it. They played with Legos for most of the day again today. Why do we spend money on any other toys?
Evidence that I cleaned the hall closet! It really was a disaster before, I should have taken a picture.
All in all, a great day! I say it all of the time, but it couldn't be more true. We are so blessed!
