William's Batman Party
Today was a really long day. I'm not sure why, but it seemed to just drag on and on. Thankfully, it was a good day!
The day started out with a wonderful tantrum from William. He was just so upset that I gave him an orange plate when he wanted a blue one. Apparently these types of tantrums don't magically disappear once a child turns four, ha ha. After the tantrum ended, he ate his breakfast and realized that the food tastes just as well on an orange plate. Shocker!
Bryce poured some milk on his cereal this morning and realized that it was curdled...rotten. The funny thing is that he prepared another bowl of cereal and opened up a brand new gallon of milk...only to have the same things happen. I guess we bought rotten milk at Costco the last time we shopped there. Disgusting!
I made William's batman cake today! I imagined it looking a lot better...it didn't exactly turn out the way that I had planned. But it turned out decently...and William liked it, which is all that matters, right?
He had a great party! Grandma and Bapa, Bita, Tia and Tio, and James and Lydia came over to celebrate. We ate hamburgers, hot dogs, watermelon, chips, and cake. The kids also had a water balloon fight! William got some good presents, too. Grandma and Bapa gave him a sea creature book, 2 T-shirts, and a cute Mickey Backback that came with some plastic little kit camping gear (like binoculars, a water bottle, a shovel, etc.). He loved it! Darlene and Justin gave him a cute car that he can build and take a part as well as a little batman figure with a motorcycle, which he loved, of course. The kids always have so much fun with their cousins!
I am so impressed with Lizzie! She made this scarf! It's incredible! She has a very strong growth mindset. This girl is such a hard worker. She wants to learn something, she sits down and learns it, and works hard until she accomplishes something. I need to be more like her! I hope she continues to keep this attitude for the rest of her life.
