Lazy Saturday (for the kids, ha ha)
I woke up and went on a 5 mile run. I absolutely love and look forward to the peaceful mornings out in nature that I have become so accustomed to out here. I've been listening to President Thomas S. Monson's biography, "To The Rescue". It is absolutely amazing. I just finished listening to President Russel M. Nelson's biography, "Insights Into The Life of President Russel. M. Nelson" for the 2nd time -- it was also absolutely amazing. I am in total awe at the way that these two prophets have lived their lives. So very inspiring.
I went on a bike ride with Mason after dinner again today. It was short, however, because the bike seat was hurting Mason's bum. He's a skinny little guy and I guess he doesn't have enough padding on his bum to make biking comfortable. We will have to figure something out. I love that kid.
I spent a large portion of the day cleaning Caitlyn and Mason's bedroom. I created 3 garbage bags of things that need to go to Good Will. I also threw away 2 garbage bags. I'm not sure how all of that garbage fit into that bedroom. I feel like I'm constantly doing a major cleaning in their room...and then it just blows up with mess the very next day. Oh well!
While I was cleaning and organizing, Jon was busy working on the entertainment center. It's getting closer to being finished! Jon is such a good man. And so talented!
We had to put limits on the Lego time today. They would play Legos all the day long if we allowed it.
This is a little bookshelf that we have by our front door. It's a little cluttered right now because of the 4th of July decoration...but I love this little shelf. It has the large tile with President Hinckley's 6 B's, a Christmas Tree with the names of Christ, a Christus Statue, a plant that a friend gave us, a sign that says "eternal love", pictures of when Jon proposed to me, 3 wooden trees that my Mom made me, 4 little needle points that my mom made, and a sign that says "family". So many good things on one shelf!
The girls had a little tea party today with their favorite bunnies.
Bryce was trying to keep himself busy during the "no Lego" time.
William and I spent some time on the back patio this morning. He finished eating a piece of leftover pizza that I had started. He is adorable. He told me that when he turns 4 (in 11 days!) than he will be nice, he will stop kissing my chest, and that he will be as big as Bryce. It must be hard for him to be so much shorter than everyone else in the house.
Lizzie and I played a few rounds of "Qwixx" this morning. We played it at Tara's house and she gave it to us to take home because Michael didn't like the game, ha ha. It's a simple and fun little game!
Lizzie claims that she doesn't know how to smile with braces, ha ha. She's such a character!
