A 2-Day Streak! I'm on a roll!

Today was a great day!  I'll tell the story with pictures!

I started the day out with an early morning run while listening to various "Come Follow Me" podcasts.  My favorite way to start the day!

I ground fresh wheat kernels and made whole wheat pancakes.  I loved them, Jon thought they tasted a bit too chewy and nutty.  We ate the pancakes with homemade plum syrup that I made over the weekend.  We have a few plum trees in our backyard.  We got so many plums!  I made 8 jars of plum syrup (it was supposed to be jam but it didn't thicken up properly).  The kids love it!  I sound so domesticated.  I'm really not, but I'm learning.  I want to learn how to can and preserve fruit.  One day...

The kids literally played with Lego's all day!  It was so nice!

William and Mason are our Halloween lovers.  I bought a few Halloween Cookbooks while in Utah and they have been devouring them.  We are already making plans for what we want to make this October!

We had Salad Bar for dinner!  I had to take a picture of Mason's perfect salad, ha ha.

The kids were behaving so well today, so I spent some time sewing some fabric that I had in my closet together to make a make-shift patriotic table cloth and table runner.  I thought they turned out pretty cute!

William has a hard time keeping his clothes on until the end of the day.  He usually eats dinner without a shirt on.  This habit needs to change soon...but for now we let it slide.

After we cleaned up dinner we went outside and rode our bikes.  It was still a little hot out, but with the breeze it didn't feel too bad.  It doesn't actually feel nice until after 8:00.  In the summer, the best times to be outside is before 8 in the morning and after 8 at night.

It's so nice having such a long driveway for the kids to ride their bikes!

I took William on a bike ride in the bike trailer.  He loves it!  In fact, he usually takes a little cat nap during the trip.

William got a Popsicle after the bike ride!

The kids also enjoy riding their bikes in our back yard!  We really are blessed living out here in the acres.

Another great summer day in the books!  We are so blessed!
