The Waiting Game
Well, the sellers for our dream house (#2, ha ha) countered our offer. They wanted a little bit more money for it. So we offered a bit more money and we are still waiting to hear back from them...I am crossing every limb and praying like crazy that they will accept our offer. I feel like this is our last chance that we will have to get out of this city and onto some land and space of our very own. I have been feeling so claustrophobic in our home. I can hardly wait to look out my windows and see a neighborhood in which every home has its very own 2.5 acre lot.
Here are a few snapshots of the beautiful home that we want:
Isn't it beautiful?! I'm praying so hard that it can be our home that we can grow old together in.
Life has moved on as usual, despite the house craziness.
William still needs his afternoon snuggles. He's getting so big and I'm getting sad that these days of snuggling my babies will be coming to an end soon. Although the days have sometimes been very long, it all went by in the blink of an eye. Lizzie will be in 7th grade this year, which blows my mind. We went to her New Beginnings program for Young Women last week and it blew my mind that I already have a daughter old enough to be in YW. I remember being in Young Women's myself as clearly as it were last week. I still feel like the same person even, although my body feels much older! I ran 12 miles with Angie yesterday (in the pouring rain, nonetheless). I can make it about 9 or 10 miles pretty comfortable...but after that I hit a wall and everything seems to break down. It stinks. But I have one more long run next Saturday and then we taper down until the race on March 23rd. I hope I can just finish well, with no regrets. This will more than likely be my last half marathon I ever run so I need to feel good about it.
This is a picture of Caitlyn snuggling a stuffed Sloth while shopping on Friday. I took the kids to Sam's Club and Walmart...I let them choose a toy to play with in the cart while we shopped. Then I told them to say goodbye to it before we checked out. They enjoyed the toys while they lasted, ha ha.
William, being William. The cutest baby on the block. Well...big baby. Almost 3-year-old!
This weekend ended up being our date weekend with the kids. Jon took Mason out on Friday night. They went out to eat and then went to a Pokeman store to pick up a "very special soon to be out of stock" pokemon card.
I took the girls out on Saturday. We went to get Lizzie a haircut and then ate at Chic-Fill-A. Nothing fancy but we had fun together, which is all that matters.
Jon took Bryce out later Saturday afternoon. But no pictures, sorry Bryce. He came home with a new book.
Well, here's to another week! We are hoping to know by tomorrow whether or not we will get this house or not!
Here's the Come, Follow Me reminder that I created for this week:
