William's Turn to Potty Train
Caitlyn asked me to take a picture of her beautiful picture that she drew of Jesus' Birth. She is such an artist and loves drawing!
Today is the day that William got to try out potty training for the first time. I'm not sure that I can stick with it...but I need to. I'm ready to be DONE with diapers for good! He pooped and peed his underwear today. But he also made it to the potty a few times. So I think we will try again tomorrow. It makes it difficult when we have to go in the car all of the time to pick up and drop of older siblings...but we will do the best that we can.
Before getting the kids from school Caitlyn and I made another one of our favorite healthier treats. They are called "energy bites". We mix together peanut butter, honey, oats, flax seed, and some mini-chocolate chips. Yum, yum, yum!
William took a nap on my lap for an hour and then was so happy when he woke up! Subsequently, he will not go to bed at his usual bedtime. He is sitting right next to me as I write this post and refuses to stay in his bed...oh well.
The weather was rainy again today. It was even cold enough to snow a bit, which the kids went crazy over. They had to go outside and taste the snow falling from the sky. They were all hoping that school would be cancelled tomorrow because of the snow, ha ha.
The girls are staying up late tonight with Daddy. Daddy is teaching a class tonight but will be getting out a little bit early and will be taking the girls to "Daddy-Daughter Night" at Chile's. They are so excited!
Lizzie and Caitlyn really are the best of friends. Caitlyn sleeps in Lizzie's room more than her own. I am so happy that they have such a loving relationship. Mason and Bryce, however, do not have such a loving relationship. Not sure how to fix that...hopefully it will get better as they mature.
