The Day of the Egg Barf
This morning was rough!
I gave the kids (who weren't fasting) eggs for breakfast. Mason wanted eggs in a hole (eggs in the middle of toast) and the younger two wanted a leftover blueberry muffin from yesterday with boiled eggs.
They usually eat boiled eggs just fine with no issues. But today was another story! I was so frustrated. The eggs kept rolling off of William's plate. The yoke was all over the table, the chair, his clothes, and the floor. I spend a good solid 10 minutes cleaning up every crumb of that egg yoke that he dropped. Then after he ate he started running around the table. He must have ran too fast for having just eaten breakfast because he puked up all of his egg! And all of his milk! It was so gross.
So I spent forever cleaning up that mess...and of course he stepped in it and spread it all over the place before I was done cleaning it up. I had to take the rug outside and spray it off.
I was finally done.
Caitlyn was still eating her boiled eggs, however, so I made sure that she knew that she had to lean over her plate because I just couldn't clean up another mess.
A few seconds later I heard an "Uh-Oh" coming from Caitlyn's mouth. She had accidentally dropped her entire plate of egg (and egg yolk!) all over the floor!
So I cleaned it up.
Then William grabbed a cup of Juice off of the counter. When I slowly and calmly tried to take it from him...he freaked out and threw the whole cup all over the floor! This picture doesn't show, but there was juice all over the cupboard and splattered all the way under the table.
I was so DONE!
Then we went to church and everything was fine.
I got to sub in primary, which is so easy. When you teach your kids all week the same lesson that they are teaching in primary...it makes it so you don't really have to prepare anything and can teach the lesson on a whim. I love it!
Lizzie, after church, eating a chip and wearing her favorite Snow White shirt that she can't wear to school because it's too much of a "distraction".
We went to Jon's parents house for dinner tonight. We ate speghetti. Bryce and I made some of our yummy garlic breadsticks as well.
Here is a quick snapshot of all that were there.
Bryce:
Jon's 93-year-old Grandma! She is looking so good and still going strong!
Jon's Dad (Dwight, Bapa):
Jon's Mom (Sandy, Grandma)
Jon's sister, Darlene, in the red Shirt who didn't want her picture taken. Darlene's husband, Justin. And Jon, being an annoying big brother.
The cousins in the back: Mason, Caitlyn, James, and Lydia.
William was so sad because there wasn't dessert! Seriously! He started ugly crying when we told him that there was no cake!
Weekend over...let's see what this next week has in store for us!
