Diapers for the Middle Children
It rained all day today. I love the rain! It's supposed to rain for the next few days. I'm really happy about that. We need it!
When Bryce and Mason got in the car after school...both Mason and Caitlyn said that they had to go to the bathroom really, really, really badly. We still had to pick up Lizzie at her school...and it was pouring outside and I didn't want to drag them all out in the mud to go back into the school to use the restroom.
So I put a diaper on the 4-year-old and a diaper on the soon-to-be-7-year-old (it's a good thing he has such a small bum!).
Caitlyn peed and Mason Pooped.
So. Disgusting.
Then the boys had piano lessons. School got out an hour earlier than normal today so we had an hour to kill before lessons. It didn't make sense to go back home, so we parked in a parking lot and the kids did their homework in the car while we waited.
This is how they felt about this.
Lizzie was not too happy (although she finished an entire book).
Mason was happy.
William was fine because I kept giving him food to snack on.
Caitlyn happily played around in the back...and I couldn't get Bryce to finish his homework. He claimed that he couldn't concentrate. Hmm...wonder why that was?
Pictures from earlier today...
Will and his beloved Batman!
Best friends!
Reading books with Mommy!
We had a nice Come Follow Me lesson this evening after Judo. We are learning about the Savior's birth. We watched some bible videos and discussed them. We marked some scriptures in the New Testament.
We learned that we can be like the Wisemen in our lives by continuously striving to seek the Savior. Like the Wisemen, we are on a long journey. We will see the Savior one day and offer him our gifts. The gifts that we offer him will be how we chose to live our lives. Were we obedient to the commandments? How did we treat those around us? Did we serve others when we could?
We also learned that we can be like the Shepherds. As soon as they were told about the Saviors birth, the left with haste to find him. We can also leave the things of the world behind with haste and do the things that our Savior wants us to do in order for us to make it back to Him someday.
