A Day in Pictures

Many of my days begin when my alarm clock goes off at 4:40 a.m.

Though usually exhausted, I make myself get out of bed.

I get dressed and get inside of the van.

I drive half of a mile away...

 ...to the YMCA.

Why do I do this?  So early in the morning?

Because I love exercising (I ran a half-marathon last July and will be running another one in a few months).  I love exercising but I love my kids more.  I want to exercise and get it out of the way so that I can be fully available for my kids the remainder of the day.  Yes...I usually want to keep sleeping.  But the sacrifice of waking up early is worth it to me.  Plus, the gym is usually nearly empty that early in the morning.  This makes for a much more enjoyable workout.  On Saturday's, I typically go on a long run with my friend, Angie Tingey.  It's been a lot of fun to have a running partner again.

I don't know how much longer my ability to run will last though.  I just bought my second pair of running shoes...that don't fit me!  Such a bummer.  I am working on wearing them in as best as I can so that I can wear them without hurting.

On to the next pictures!

Jon loves his A&W Root beer!  He even has an official mug to make the experience that much more enjoyable.

I love these two humans!  Jon isn't teaching at the High School this week and has been spending it at home.  It's been really nice to have him around.  William especially has enjoyed the extra bonding time with Daddy (and his food, ha ha).

This giant Lego Pikachu is currently sitting on a bookshelf in our loft.  Mason worked very hard on it and I was so proud of the effort that he put into it.  Mason turns 7 in one week from today!  He is having a family Pokemon party.

It's time to pick up the kids from school!  Let's look adorable in this picture and then proceed to cry and scream when it's time to walk in the opposite direction to retrieve Mason from his 1st Grade teacher.  I really do love and adore these two youngest children of mine!

Lizzie's self-portrait of the day!

Homework time!  Mason Woodruff.  The only kids in the world who smiles and laughs through his homework assignments.  I can't help but love my Mason-Man!

Jon and I finally planning our epic summer trip to Canada!  So far, we have made a tentative plans.

The following is our tentative journey:

From Lancaster to Beaver, UT
Then to Providence
to Yellow Stone
to Helena Montana
To Calgary
To Banff
To Edmonton
To an unknown town near the Canadian  border
To Helena
To Providence
To Nevada
To Sacramento
To the Sequoia's
From the Sequoia's back to Lancaster

This should take us over  4 weeks!  I can hardly wait.  We will be taking our new tent trailer that we purchased last year, specifically for this very purpose.

We are so blessed!
